vocabtest.me does not use third-party cookies (and probably never will).
Users of vocabtest.me without an account will have their test results logged to a database but with no other personally identifiable information included (such as email address, name, etc). This data is fully anonymous. Additionally, vocabtest.me also uses Google Analytics (GA) to analyze traffic and GA makes use of first party cookies to do so. The GA cookies, however are never associated with any users' personally identifiable information such as their account, etc.
When you sign up for an account on vocabtest.me, your email address will be logged on our system. Users who choose to authenticate with Google will grant vocabtest.me access to additional data linked to your Google account such as display name, profile image, etc (though vocabtest.me will not store any of this data explicitly). Authenticated users will also have their accounts linked to any test results that they've taken in the past.
vocabtest.me will never sell, rent, license or lease any of your data to any commercial third parties. However, in the future, we may decide to share anonymized data with the following third parties:
Linguistic or statistical researchers:
The goal of vocabtest.me is to provide the most scientifically accurate vocabulary assessments possible. To work towards this goal, we may collaborate with outside researchers to improve the tests. Such collaboration would involve the sharing of anonymized data.
Open Source Commmunity:
Partial anonymized data may be publicly released under an open source license in the future so that other researchers and technologists working in this space can benefit and learn from the data that has been collected.
